1.1 This standard is based on the principles of GB 3792.1-83 "General Descriptions of Bibliographic Descriptions", and "International Standard Bibliographic Descriptions (Map Information)"
(IS BD (CM)), based on the characteristics of map data in China's literature department.
1.2 This standard is the basis for the description of map data *.
1.3 This standard applies to the compilation of national bibliographies and various types of directories.
1.4 This standard does not involve rules for organizing map data catalogs.
2.1 Map data
According to certain mathematical principles, the use of visualized symbols (or images), through scientific synthesis, shows that the surface of the earth (or other planets) appears.
Information carrier. It reflects the spatial distribution, combination, connection of various natural and social phenomena and their changes and developments in time. Ground
Map data includes floor plans or topographic maps. Aerial, nautical or starry sky maps; aerial, satellite or space imagery maps; black bird's eye views, globes;

2.2 Description Project

2.4 Front name

Two or more names in the main title of a map without a general name.
2.8 Coordinate Chart Name

2.9 Deputy Picture Name
Or the name of the explanatory figure. Interpret or subordinate another drawing name (including sub-volume (book, frame) drawing name)

It is located before and after the name of the map. It is an explanatory text about the content range, editing method, body size, target audience, and purpose of the map.
